Tools of the Trade
- Toy: Chef’s Hat (yes, the one from Wrath) lets you cook faster. Costs 100 Epicurian Awards, which are not warband transferable, but can be purchased from a WoTLK Timewalking vendor.
- BiS Accessory:
- Artisan Chef’s Hat (tailor made, +11 skill)
- BiS Tool: Inscribed Rolling Pin (scribe made, +18 skill)
- You can’t customize the stats, like other tools – you get Resourcefulness & Crafting Speed.
- I think you can enchant it – Resourcefulness would be your best option.
I’m getting conflicting information from various sources, so I’m going to keep this limited to the things I can verify, which is not much. I guess the cooking profession is…. only half-baked on the beta atm.
Things to Note
- There’s no alchemical flavor pocket in TWW, but you can use the Hearty Food recipe to condense 5 of the same meal into a single warband-bound item that gives the same buff, but persists through death. There’s also a Hearty Feast recipe that lets you do the same thing for feasts, but it requires 10 of them.
- If you’re a skinner, you may want to consider putting points in the Harvesting→Meat Carver tree, so that more meat drops for you.
- A new finishing reagent of note: Secret Sauce increases the number of servings created (great for feasts).
