The Darkmoon Faire has quests for all primary professions- they each give 2 skill points and 3 knowledge points. Cooking & Fishing also have quests that give 2 skill points.
The skill points, by default, go to the current expansion’s profession skill, assuming you have leaned it. If you’ve maxxed that out, the skill points will go to older expansions (most recent first) that you have trained and not maxxed out.
Some profession quests require reagents that can’t be purchased at the faire. Here’s what to buy before you take the portal:
